Hi,
I'm new to the board and I have a question about Felicity's plantation play. I was able to get most of the set about a year ago. Unfortunately, it is missing the shell and reed. I'm sure I can find a real shell that is the right size, but I don't have any ideas on the reed. Would anyone know how to make one or find a real reed the right size? I just can't bring myself to pay the outrageous prices that ebay brings for this set.
Thanks so much for your help.

Hello, "new" Melissa, and welcome! I hope you will enjoy getting to know us here on the board and also that you will find answers to your questions. I don't have the Plantation Play set either, but I'll bet someone here does have it and will answer your question.

Hi! Welcome to the board. I looked at an online photo of the Plantation Play set and am not sure what pieces you refer to (I don't have the set). There are probably others here who have the set and might be able to offer suggestions. I hope that you'll find something that works.

Hello, and welcome. The reeds are really just pieces of hollow plastic that are about four inches long. You could probably use a straw, if you could find it in a neutral color; if you can't find a neutral colored straw, you might be able to use florist tape (in brown) to cover the straw. I'm sure there are other options, too, I just can't think of any more at the moment.

Melissa, welcome to the group! Is there a nickname you go by that we can call you? Most people differentiate themselves if they have the same name, by using an initial or something--otherwise it gets really confusing. If you don't have one, I'd be happy to go by a nickname if needed.
